Description
“Akan Goldweight” serviette holder is handmade and manually elaborated with metal techniques well-known for centuries by ethnic groups from the Akan family.
Akan Goldweights is a pewter and brass alloy plated in a golden solution that doesn’t contain iron or nickel. You can keep them shiny by rubbing them from time to time with a dry cloth.
They come from Ghana (old Akan town, whose wealth in gold attracted Portuguese navigators in 1482, and was known in Europe as the Golden Coast).
